Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Cut potatoes into 1/4"-thick fries and pat dry.
Core tomato and cut into 1/2" dice.Pat steak strips dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces. In a mixing bowl, combine steak strips, cornstarch, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Set aside. -
2 Roast the Fries
Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 4 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Spread into an even layer.
Roast in hot oven until fries are browned, 25-30 minutes, tossing fries halfway through.Carefully remove from oven and stir in chimichurri seasoning. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.While fries roast, continue recipe. -
3 Make the Tomato Jam
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add tomatoes to hot pan. Stir occasionally until slightly browned, 3-5 minutes.Add pesto, 1/4 tsp. salt, a pinch of pepper, 1/4 cup water, and brown sugar. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, reduce heat to low and stir occasionally until thickened, 8-10 minutes.Remove from burner.While jam cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Cook the Steak Strips
Line a plate with a paper towel.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Let heat, 3 minutes.Add steak strips to hot pan. Stir occasionally until no pink remains and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer steak strips to towel-lined plate. Rest, 3 minutes. -
5 Assemble Sandwiches and Finish Dish
Place rolls directly on oven rack in hot oven, cut-sides up.
Toast until lightly browned, 3-4 minutes.Carefully remove from oven. Place rolls on a clean work surface. Open and evenly fill with steak strips, garlic aioli, cheese, then tomato jam. Wrap each sandwich tightly in foil. Rolls will be hot! Use caution.Bake directly on oven rack in hot oven until cheese is melted, 5-7 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, halving sandwich, if desired. Bon appétit!
