To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Place Italian sausage, leeks, Calabrian peppers (use less if spice-averse), bacon, and 1 tsp. olive oil in provided tray. Stir to combine, breaking up sausage into bite-sized pieces.

    Spread mixture into an even layer.

    Bake Sausage Mixture and Add Pasta and Sauce

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-18 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Stir in tomato sauce, creme fraiche, and pasta until combined. Spread into an even layer. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. Cover tray with foil.

    Finish the Meal

    Bake covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through, 15-20 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Stir in softened Sicilian sauce (to taste) until combined. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    To serve, top pasta with cheese. Bon appétit!
