Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare Ingredients

    Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Cook beef

    "Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add ground beef to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal tempeature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

    Cook Broccoli

    Add 1 ½ cups water to a medium pot. Bring to a boil, add broccoli, cover and cook 7-8 minutes or until broccoli is tender. Remove from pot and season with a pinch of salt.

    Make Gravy

    Add flour to ground beef and stir to combine. Add 1 ½ cups water, chicken broth packet, and whites of green onion. Bring to a boil stirring occasionally until sauce is thickened. Add cream cheese and stir to combine. Serve over biscuits. Garnish with green onion.
