Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, add to a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

  • If using ground turkey, add to a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

    Start the Risotto

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging.

    In provided tray, combine cream base, Bolognese, garlic salt, cream cheese, rice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cream cheese will melt as meal bakes.

    Add 2 Tbsp. water and stir to combine. Spread into an even layer. Cover tray with foil.

    Bake covered in hot oven until heated through, 12-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    Add the Cheese and Peas

    Add peas and Parmesan to tray and stir to combine. Spread into an even layer.

    Top evenly with mozzarella. Tray will be hot! Use caution.

    Finish the Meal

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until risotto is bubbling and cheese is melted, 15-20 minutes.

    While meal bakes, coarsely crush crackers.

    Carefully remove tray from oven.

    To serve, top risotto with crackers and red pepper flakes (to taste). Bon appétit!
