Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Halve tomatoes. Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips. Halve lemon lengthwise. Cut into wedges.

    Par-Bake the Flatbreads

    Place flatbreads directly on oven rack in hot oven and bake until flatbread edges are brown and crispy, 8-10 minutes. While flatbreads par-bake, cook topping.

    Cook the Topping

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add onion to hot pan and stir occasionally until translucent, 2-3 minutes. Add ground turkey and seasoning blend. Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes. Add tomatoes and a pinch of pepper and stir occasionally until tomatoes soften, 1-2 minutes. Remove from burner.

    Assemble and Bake the Flatbreads

    Divide cheese evenly between flatbreads. Add topping evenly on top of cheese. Place flatbreads directly on oven rack, with baking sheet on rack below to catch any drips. Bake until golden brown and warmed through, 5-7 minutes.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping flatbreads with tzatziki dip. Squeeze lemon wedges over dish (to taste). Bon appétit!
