Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes. Add protein to meal as desired.

    Prepare Ingredients and Toast Panko

    Cut mushrooms into 1/4" slices.

    Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/4" dice.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add panko to hot, dry pan. Stir occasionally until golden, 1-2 minutes.

    Add butter and stir into panko until melted and combined, 30-60 seconds.

    Remove from burner. Transfer to a plate and set aside.

    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine carrots and 2 Tbsp. water. Cover bowl with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered, 2 minutes.

    Remove from microwave and drain water. Set aside.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place another large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add onions, carrots, and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until onions begin to brown and carrots are tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Add mushrooms and stir occasionally until mushrooms are browned and juices have released, 2-3 minutes.

    Add the Sauce

    Add 1/2 cup water and cream cheese to hot pan. Bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, stir occasionally until cream cheese is melted and combined, 3-4 minutes.

    Stir in marinara, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper until thoroughly combined, 1-2 minutes.

    If sauce is too thick, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

    Add Pasta and Finish Dish

    Add pasta and minced garlic and parsley to hot pan. Stir occasionally until combined and heated through, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with shredded cheese and toasted panko. Bon appétit!
