Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Cook the Vegetables
Place a large pot over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add mushrooms, leeks, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pot. Stir occasionally until mushrooms are browned, 4-6 minutes.

2 Add the Ground Beef
Add ground beef, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pot. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.
Drain any excess liquid from pot. Pot will be hot! Use caution.Stir in garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of pepper until combined, 1-2 minutes. -
3 Add the Sauce
Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, mushroom base, 1/4 cup water, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pot. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir occasionally until slightly thickened, 3-5 minutes.Stir in creme fraiche until combined, 30-60 seconds. -
4 Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Add pasta to hot pot and stir occasionally until combined and pasta is heated through, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with cheese. Bon appétit!
