Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

  • If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

    Start the Ground Beef

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

    Add ground beef to hot, dry pan. Stir occasionally until slightly browned, 2-3 minutes.

    Add garlic sesame sauce and brown sugar. Stir occasionally until combined, 1-2 minutes.

    Beef will finish cooking in a later step.

    Add the Bok Choy and Cashews

    Add bok choy, half the cashews (reserve remaining for garnish), and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir often until combined and bok choy is tender, 5-7 minutes.

    Add Sauce and Finish Ground Beef

    Add yuzu to hot pan. Stir occasionally until combined and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While beef mixture cooks, continue recipe.

    Heat Rice and Finish Dish

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps and remove from packaging.

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add rice to hot pan. Stir occasionally until rice is heated through, 3-5 minutes.

    Remove from burner and stir in 1/4 tsp. salt until combined.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with beef mixture. Garnish with remaining cashews. Bon appétit!
