  • 1 Colander/Strainer

Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil.

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using filets mignon or sirloin steaks, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  • If using salmon, pat dry. Add salmon, skin-side up first, and cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

  • Add protein to meal as desired.

    Cook Pasta and Prepare Ingredients

    Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 9-12 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Reserve 1 cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander/strainer and set aside.

    While pasta cooks, coarsely chop spinach.

    Mince garlic.

    Start the Sauce

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat.

    Add butter to hot pan and stir occasionally until melted, 1-2 minutes.

    Add flour and stir until no dry flour remains.

    Add 3/4 cup pasta cooking water and stir occasionally until combined and sauce is slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.

    If too thick, add remaining pasta cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

    Add the Pasta

    Add cream base, cheese, and garlic salt to hot pan. Stir constantly until combined, 1-2 minutes.

    Add half the garlic (reserve remaining for garlic bread), 1/4 tsp. salt, and half the red pepper flakes (to taste; reserve remaining for garnish). Stir occasionally until combined, 30-60 seconds.

    Stir in spinach until wilted, 30-60 seconds.

    Add pasta and stir occasionally until coated, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    Bake the Pasta

    Transfer pasta mixture to prepared casserole dish and spread into an even layer. Cover with foil.

    Bake covered in hot oven, 20 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven and remove foil. Casserole dish will be hot! Use oven mitts.

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until edges are golden-brown, 5-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    While pasta bakes, continue recipe.

    Make Garlic Bread and Finish Dish

    Halve roll, if necessary.

    Place rolls, cut-side up, on prepared baking sheet. Evenly top with 2 tsp. olive oil and remaining garlic.

    Bake in hot oven until golden-brown, 6-8 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with remaining red pepper flakes (to taste). Halve garlic bread, if desired. Bon appétit!
