Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, add to a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

  • If using ground turkey, add to a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

    Start the Vegetables

    In provided tray, combine onions, carrots, a pinch of salt and pepper, and 2 tsp. olive oil. Spread into an even layer.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until slightly tender, 17-22 minutes.

    While vegetables bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Mashed Potatoes

    Place mashed potatoes in a microwave-safe bowl and vigorously stir to combine. Microwave uncovered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave and stir in softened cream cheese and a pinch of salt until combined.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Stir in lentils, Bolognese sauce, poultry seasoning, and softened butter until combined. Spread into a single layer. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. Butter will melt as meal bakes.

    Evenly top vegetable mixture with mashed potatoes, then shredded cheese.

    Finish the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until sauce is bubbling and cheese is melted, 10-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Bon appétit!
