Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Add chicken to a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using filets mignon or sirloin steaks, pat dry. Add steaks to a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  • If using salmon, pat dry. Add salmon, skin-side up first to a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Trim yellow squash and zucchini ends and cut into 1/4" slices on an angle. Zucchini quantity may vary, but total weight will remain the same. Don't worry; recipe instructions are not impacted.

    Pat chicken dry. Season both sides with half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for vegetables) and a pinch of salt and pepper.

    Air Fry the Chicken

    Place chicken in basket and gently spray with cooking spray.

    Air fry at 375 degrees until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    Remove basket.

    Alternatively, place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add chicken to hot pan and cook until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 3-5 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner.

    Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    While chicken cooks, continue recipe.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add zucchini, yellow squash, remaining garlic salt, Italian seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until slightly browned and tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Add spinach in batches (don't overflow the pan) and stir occasionally until wilted, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Stir in pesto and creme friache until combined.

    While vegetables cook, continue recipe.

    Heat Butter and Finish Dish

    Place butter in a microwave-safe bowl.

    Microwave uncovered until melted, 45-60 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave and stir to combine.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping chicken with butter. Garnish vegetables with cheese. Slice chicken, if desired. Bon appétit!
