Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F
  1. 1

    Bake the Ground Pork Mixture

Turn oven on to 400 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

Add ground pork to one provided tray and break into small pieces. Add pepper & onion mix, chipotle seasoning, ancho cinnamon rub (use less of both if spice-averse), and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir to combine.

Bake uncovered in hot oven until vegetables are tender and ground pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 25-30 minutes.

While ground pork mixture bakes, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Bake the Rice and Beans

    Drain beans.

In second provided tray, add rice, beans, and a pinch of salt. Cover tray with foil. Bake covered in hot oven until heated through, 8-10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Build Burritos and Finish Meal

Remove both trays from oven. Carefully drain excess liquid from pork mixture tray.

Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warmed, 30-60 seconds.

Divide pork mixture, rice and beans, sour cream, and cheese evenly between tortillas, placing in center of each. Fold sides of tortilla toward center, then roll bottom edge towards the top, enclosing sides tightly. Bon appétit!
