A note about serious food allergies

We make no claims about this smoothie being healthy, but we do think it’s an excellent way to treat yourself between holiday shopping, cleaning, and – ahem – spending. It combines candy canes, vanilla almond milk, and cocoa powder for a sweet holiday break from it all.

  • Ice
  • 1 Blender/Food Processor/Immersion Blender
  • Step 1 - Prepare the Ingredients

    Prepare the Ingredients

Place candy canes in a plastic bag and break into small pieces using a heavy-bottomed pot. Save a pinch for garnish.

  • Step 2 - Make the Smoothie

    Make the Smoothie

Except for reserved pinch of crushed candy canes, place all ingredients in blender along with 2 cups ice. Blend on high for 3 minutes.

  • Step 3 - Serve the Smoothie

    Serve the Smoothie

Pour smoothie into 2 glasses and sprinkle reserved candy cane garnish on top. Candy canes have been around since the late 17th century and their shape is said to represent a shepherd's crook. Their traditional peppermint flavor is a natural pairing for cocoa.
