Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using ground beef, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat. Break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, cook in a medium non-stick pan with 2 tsp. olive oil over medium heat. Break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

1 Start the Sausage
Spray provided tray with cooking spray.
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.Place sausage in prepared provided tray and break into smaller pieces. Spread into a single layer. Bake uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes. -
2 Add the Pasta and Sauce
After 10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Drain any excess liquid. Tray will be hot! Use an oven mitt.
Stir in 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour until no dry flour remains. Add cream base, mushroom seasoning, pasta, spinach, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir to combine. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake again uncovered in hot oven until sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.
Carefully remove tray from oven.Stir in lemon juice and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish) until melted.To serve, garnish with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
