Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    prep

    thinly slice celery on a bias about 1/8th inch thick

    dice tomato into 1/4 inch pieces

    combine slaw with ranch, and celery, mix and set aside

    microwave butter to melt and mix with hot sauce

    bake toastada

    preheat oven to 400

    dock each tortilla with a fork 10-12 times, to keep them from rising in the oven

    drizzle 2t olive oil over tortillas and rub evenly into them

    place on prepared baking sheet in the oven for 8-10 minutes until lightly crisped, they will go back in the oven

    cooking the shrimp

    place shrimp on a paper towel lined tray and allow to dry

    combine with cornstarch in a bowl, toss until coated and transfer to a plate

    wash bowl and add sauce to bowl

    heat a medium non stick over medium heat with 2T olive oil

    once hot add shrimp and allow to sear on one side for 2-3 minutes

    flip and cook another 2-3 minutes

    remove from pan and toss in sauce

    finish the tostada

    top tostadas with blue cheese and place back in oven for 1-2 minutes until cheese is melted

    top tostada with slaw, tomato and then shrimp
