Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Start the Green Beans

    Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before cooking, and after handling raw meat and seafood. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry.

    Set butter and crème fraîche on counter to soften.

    Trim green beans, if necessary.

    In provided tray, combine green beans, 1 Tbsp. water, and 2 tsp. olive oil. Cover tray with foil.

    Bake covered in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    While green beans bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chimichurri seasoning, garlic salt, ricotta, and panko. Form mixture into 6 equally-sized meatballs.

    After 10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Drain any excess liquid. Add 1/4 tsp. salt and stir to combine. Push green beans to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Transfer meatballs to now-empty side of tray.

    Bake Meal and Make Whipped Feta Butter

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until green beans are tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    While meal bakes, in another mixing bowl, combine softened butter, softened crème fraîche, feta, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Stir vigorously to combine. Set aside.

    Carefully remove tray from oven.

    To serve, top meatballs with tzatziki and garnish green beans with whipped feta butter. Bon appétit!
