Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare The Ingredients

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Remove lid and label, if necessary. When ingredient appears in recipe, remove from packaging. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.

    Combine pasta, pepeprs, cheese sauce, cream cheese, 1/4 cup water, and a pinch of salt and pepper in provided tray.

    Add Sausage

    Remove sausage from casings and break into small pieces. Place pieces on top of pasta mixture.

    Bake The Dish

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until peppers are tender and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 25-27 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven and stir until completely combined. Top with salsa and tortilla strips. Bon appétit!
