Customize It Instructions

  • If using 20 oz. ground turkey, follow same instructions as 10 oz. ground turkey, working in batches if necessary.

  • If using ground beef, follow same instructions as ground turkey in Step 2, breaking up beef until no pink remains and beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

  • If using Impossible burger, follow same instructions as ground turkey in Step 2, breaking up until burger is heated through, 4-6 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Separate leaves of lettuce for cups.

    Stem and coarsely chop cilantro.

Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/4" slices.

    Mince garlic.

Stem poblano pepper, seed, and cut into 1/4" slices. Poblano peppers can vary in spice level; most are mild, but a few can be quite hot. Wash hands and cutting board after prepping.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ground Turkey

Heat 2 tsp. olive oil in a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes.

Add 1/4 tsp. salt, half the seasoning blend (to taste; reserve remaining for vegetables), jerk sauce, jalapeño jelly (to taste), and half the cilantro (reserve remaining for garnish). Stir occasionally until combined and heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner,

    While turkey cooks, cook vegetables.

  3. 3

    Cook the Vegetables

Place another medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

Add onion and poblano to hot pan. Stir occasionally until tender and lightly browned, 5-8 minutes.

Stir in garlic, remaining seasoning blend, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Cook until garlic is fragrant, 1-2 minutes.

If vegetables need more time, add 1 Tbsp. water and continue cooking, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

  4. 4

    Make Sauce and Assemble Cups

In a mixing bowl, combine crème fraîche, 2 tsp. water, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

Place a lettuce cup on a clean work surface (or layer two lettuce cups for extra crunch and structural support). Fill cups with a few spoonfuls of ground turkey and top with vegetables.

Repeat for about five to six more lettuce cups.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dish

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing cups with crème fraîche mixture and remaining cilantro. Bon appétit!
