You Will Need
Large Oven-Safe Non-Stick Pan
Before You Cook
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Ground Pork 160° F
Prepare The Ingredients
Peel and halve shallot. Slice thinly.
Prepare The Beef
"Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp olive oil.
Add ground beef, ¼ tsp salt and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. Transfer ground beef to a plate."
Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean.
Cook The Vegetables
In the same pan over medium high heat, add 1 tsp olive oil, mirepoix blend, garlic salt, garlic, and peas. Cook, stirring occasionally, until vegetables are slightly tender, 5-7 minutes.
Add cream base and demi to pan and bring to a simmer. Add beef and cheese and toss to combine.
Top pan evenly with mashed potatoes.
Finish the Dish
Bake in a hot oven until potatoes are lightly browned and beef reaches an minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 18-20 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven.
