Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using salmon, pat dry. Add salmon, skin-side up first, and cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 3-4 minutes per side.

1 Roast the Potatoes
Slice potatoes into thin rounds.
Place potatoes, potato spice seasoning, 1 Tbsp. olive oil, and 1/2 tsp. salt on prepared baking sheet. Massage oil and seasonings into potatoes. Spread into an even layer.Roast in hot oven, 20 minutes.Carefully remove from oven and evenly top with shredded cheese. Sheet will be hot! Use caution.Roast again in hot oven until potatoes are browned and cheese is melted, 7-10 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.While potatoes roast, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Cut broccoli into bite-sized pieces.
Pat steaks dry. Season both sides with garlic salt, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. -
3 Cook the Steaks
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Working in batches if necessary, add steaks to hot pan and cook until steaks reach desired doneness, or 3-5 minutes per side for medium/medium-well.Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner. Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.While steaks cook, continue recipe. -
4 Cook the Broccoli
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add broccoli, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 4-6 minutes.Uncover and stir occasionally until broccoli is tender, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner and stir in softened Tuscan herb butter (to taste) until combined.Kids not a fan of extra heat? Feel free to skip/reduce the Tuscan herb butter.While broccoli cooks, continue recipe. -
5 Make Cacio e Pepe Butter and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine softened plain butter, grated cheese, and coarse black pepper. Kids want to help? With supervision, have them help prepare the cacio e pepe butter.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping steak with cacio e pepe butter. Slice steak, if desired. Bon appétit!
