Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, roast until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

    Form the Meatloaves

    Finely crush crackers.

    In a mixing bowl, combine crackers and 2 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground beef, pot roast seasoning, a pinch of salt, and sour cream. Form meat mixture into two equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height.

    Start the Meatloaves

    Place meatloaves on one side of prepared baking sheet.

    Roast in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    Meatloaves will finish cooking in a later step.

    While meatloaves roast, continue recipe.

    Make Glaze and Prepare Broccoli

    In another mixing bowl, combine ketchup, brown sugar, and mustard (to taste). Set aside.

    After 10 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven.

    Place broccoli, 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and garlic and parsley seasoning on empty side of sheet. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer on their side. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Finish the Meatloaves and Broccoli and Finish Dish

    Top meatloaves with glaze.

    Roast again in hot oven until broccoli is tender and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 15-18 minutes.

    Carefully remove sheet from oven.

    To serve, top broccoli with cheese. Bon appétit!
