Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using ground beef, add meatballs to hot pan and cook until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 10-12 minutes.

If using ground turkey, add meatballs to hot pan and cook until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 11-13 minutes.

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.
In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce and panko. Let sit, 1 minute.After 1 minute, add white portions of green onions, ground pork, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Form mixture into 16 equally-sized meatballs. -
2 Start the Meatballs
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add meatballs to hot pan and roll occasionally until browned all over, 2-4 minutes. -
3 Finish the Meatballs
Add garlic sesame sauce and 2 Tbsp. water to hot pan. Cover and cook until meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.
Uncover and stir occasionally until meatballs are coated, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While meatballs cook, continue recipe. -
4 Make Rice and Finish Dish
Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging.
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add rice, umami seasoning, peas, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until rice is heated through, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping meatballs with sauce from pan, green portions of green onions, and sesame seeds. Bon appétit!
