Gochujang heat, teriyaki sweet, and the subtle nutty richness of sesame… can a lettuce cup get any better? (Don't ask, we don't want to pit our lettuce cups against each other, they're all good, and we love them all!) You'll be amazed flavors this subtle and layered came together in so little time. We love all our lettuce cups equally, but we like this one just a little bit more.

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using 20 oz. ground beef, follow same instructions as 10 oz. ground beef, working in batches if necessary.

  • If using shrimp, pat dry. Follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 1, cooking until shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

  • If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 1, breaking up turkey until no pink remains and turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 7-9 minutes.

  1. 1

    Cook the Ground Beef

Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil, ground beef, and seasoning blend to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

Stir in gochujang (use less if spice-averse) and half the teriyaki glaze (reserve remaining for dipping) until combined, 1-2 minutes.

If sauce is too thick, add 2 Tbsp. water, if desired. Remove from burner.

While beef cooks, make slaw and prepare ingredients.

  2. 2

    Start the Slaw

In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, vinegar, and a pinch of pepper. Stir vigorously, 1 minute.

    Let rest, 3 minutes.

After 3 minutes, add dressing and stir to combine. Set aside.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Ingredients

Separate leaves of lettuce for cups.

    Coarsely chop sesame sticks.

  4. 4

    Finish the Dish

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling lettuce cups with beef and topping with slaw and sesame sticks. Layer two lettuce cups for extra crunch and structural support. Serve remaining teriyaki glaze on the side for dipping. Bon appétit!
