Customize It Instructions
-
If using ground pork, follow same instructions as ground beef in Steps 1 and 2, cooking on one side, 6-8 minutes, flipping, and cooking until meatloaves reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.
-
If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as ground beef in Steps 1 and 2, cooking on one side, 5-6 minutes, flipping, and cooking until meatloaves reach minimum internal temperature, 6-7 minutes.
-
1 Prepare the Meatloaves
In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 2 Tbsp. water. Rest, 1 minute.
After 1 minute, add ground beef, ricotta, garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper to bowl with panko and mix to combine. Form mixture into two equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves about 5" long. Gently flatten to about 1/2" thickness. -
2 Cook the Meatloaves
Place a large oven-safe non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add loaves to hot pan. Cook until lightly charred on one side, 4-6 minutes.
Flip loaves and cover. Cook until loaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 3-4 minutes.Remove from burner. While loaves cook, continue recipe. -
3 Cook the Green Beans
Trim green beans, if necessary.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add green beans and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally, 1 minute.Add 1/4 cup water, cover, and cook until tender, 6-8 minutes. If green beans need more time, add 2 Tbsp. water, cover, and stir occasionally, 1-3 minutes.Stir in butter (to taste), 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper.Remove from burner. While green beans cook, continue recipe. -
4 Broil Meatloaves and Finish Dish
Top meatloaves evenly with marinara, then shredded cheese.
Broil until cheese is melted and lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.Alternatively, skip the broiler; after topping with cheese, cover pan and let cheese melt, 1-2 minutes.Carefully remove from broiler. Handle will be hot; use an oven mitt. Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as meatloaves may burn easily under broiler.Plate dish as pictured on front of card. Bon appétit!
