Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground turkey, bake uncovered in hot oven until meatloaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

    Start the Potatoes and Carrots

    Add mashed potatoes (no need to drain) and cream cheese to provided tray. Stir vigorously to combine. Spread into an even layer. Cream cheese will melt as mashed potatoes bake.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until heated through, 7-10 minutes.

    While potatoes bake, in a microwave-safe bowl, combine carrots, 1 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until fork tender, 2-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave and drain any excess liquid.

    While carrots microwave, continue recipe.

    Add the Meatloaves

    In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, panko, savory seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Form mixture into 2 equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves.

    After 7-10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Vigorously stir mashed potatoes to combine and push to one corner of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. Add carrots to corner opposite potatoes and evenly top with honey.

    Add meatloaves to now-empty half of tray and top evenly with BBQ sauce.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 22-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Rest, 3 minutes.

    To serve, top meatloaf with crispy onions. Bon appétit!
