A note about serious food allergies

Time again for the holiday of togetherness and stuffing one's face… the holiday of Pilgrims, Puritans, and pardoning fair fowl. These sides are perfect for your turkey day celebration. Brussels served with walnuts and sweet maple syrup take the hurt out of eating “healthy.” And garlicky, truffle-y mashed potatoes will bring decadence to your table like you've never dreamed. Stop searching the web for recipes you can't really trust… Home Chef has you covered.

  1. 1

    Start the Green Beans

Trim ends off green beans. Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add green beans to hot pan and cook undisturbed, 1 minute. Add ¼ cup water, ¼ tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Cover, and stir occasionally until beginning to get tender, 6-8 minutes.

  2. 2

    Make the Sauce

Stir 2 tsp. olive oil and flour into hot pan until mixture forms a doughy consistency. Stir in 1¼ cups water, chicken base, seasoning blend, cream sauce, caramelized onion jam, ½ tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper until combined. Bring to a simmer. Once simmering, cook until creamy and smooth, 2-4 minutes. Remove from burner.

  3. 3

Bake Green Beans and Finish Dish

Transfer green bean mixture into prepared casserole dish. Bake in hot oven until green beans are fork-tender, 10-12 minutes. Let baked green beans cool, 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, stir to combine. Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with crispy onions. Bon appétit!
