Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. If using chicken breasts, pat dry and cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side. If using filets mignon or sirloin steaks, pat dry and cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner. Add to orzo as desired.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Quarter button mushrooms.

    Remove stems, seeds, and cut bell peppers into 1/4" rings.

    In a mixing bowl, combine arugula, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

    Cook the Vegetables

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Add button mushrooms, cremini mushrooms, and umami seasoning to hot pan. Stir occasionally until browned, 4-6 minutes.

    Add bell peppers and 1/4 tsp. salt and stir occasionally until tender, 4-6 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While vegetables cook, continue recipe.

    Heat the Orzo

    Place a small pot over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add 1/4 cup water and garlic salt to hot pot. Bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, add orzo and stir occasionally until heated through and water is absorbed, 2-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Stir in butter until melted and combined.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping orzo with vegetables, dressed arugula, and balsamic glaze. Bon appétit!
