Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

If using sliced beef, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

1 Toast the Rolls
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat.
Add rolls, cut-side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast until lightly browned, 1-2 minutes.Transfer rolls to a plate. Keep pan over medium heat; no need to wipe clean. -
2 Cook the Beef and Onions
Add ground beef and onions to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.
Drain any excess liquid, if desired. Pan will be hot! Use caution.Stir in garlic salt, savory seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. pepper until combined, 1-2 minutes. -
3 Add the Sauce and Cheese
Add tomato sauce, cheese, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, remove from burner.While beef mixture cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Make Slaw and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, dressing, and a pinch of salt.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom roll with beef mixture, dip'n sauce, pickles, then top roll. Bon appétit!
