Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using 20 oz. ground beef, follow same instructions as 10 oz. ground beef, working in batches if necessary, forming four equally-sized patties, and stacking two to serve.

If using ground pork, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

If using ground turkey, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes per side.

1 Roast the Fries
Cut potatoes into 1/4" fries and pat dry.
Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Spread into a single layer.Roast in hot oven until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes, tossing once halfway through.While fries roast, continue recipe. -
2 Make Slaw and Form Patties
Quarter apple and remove core. Cut into 1/4" slices.
In a mixing bowl, combine cabbage, apples, vinegar, 1 Tbsp. olive oil, and a pinch of pepper. Set aside.In another mixing bowl, combine ground beef, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Form mixture into two equally-sized patties, about 5" in diameter. -
3 Crisp Bacon and Toast Buns
Line a plate with a paper towel.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add bacon to hot pan and stir occasionally until crisp, 2-3 minutes.Transfer to towel-lined plate. Keep pan over medium heat; no need to wipe clean.Add buns to hot pan and toast until lightly browned, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer to a plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve. -
4 Cook the Patties
Return pan used to toast buns to medium-high heat. Add patties to hot, dry pan. Cook until lightly charred and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.
Top with cheese. Cover and let melt, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While patties cook, continue recipe. -
5 Make BBQ Aioli and Finish Dish
In another mixing bowl, combine mayonnaise and half the BBQ sauce (reserve remaining for burger assembly). Set aside.
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with patty, crisped bacon, slaw, remaining BBQ sauce, and top bun. Serve BBQ aioli on the side for dipping fries. Bon appétit!
