Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes. If using Impossible burger, break up until burger reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. If using Italian sausage, remove from casing, if necessary. Break up sausage until no pink remains and sausage reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Add to stew as desired.

1 Start Stew and Prepare Ingredients
Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add onions to hot pan and stir occasionally until tender and lightly browned, 4-6 minutes.While onions cook, stem and coarsely chop parsley.Drain beans. -
2 Add the Kale and Beans
Add kale, cream base, garlic salt, 1/4 cup water, and beans to hot pan. Stir occasionally until stew has thickened, 3-5 minutes.
While stew cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Toast the Garlic Bread
Place garlic bread on prepared baking sheet.
Broil under hot broiler until warm and golden-brown, 2-3 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as garlic bread may burn easily under broiler.Carefully remove from broiler. -
4 Finish Stew and Finish Dish
Add butter, half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), and lemon juice to hot pan. Stir constantly until cheese and butter are melted and combined, 30-60 seconds.
If stew is too thick, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with remaining cheese and parsley. Bon appétit!
