Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Microwave Instructions

    If you received raw pasta, bring 8 cups water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, cook until al dente, 8-13 minutes. Remove from burner. Drain pasta in a colander/strainer and set aside. Wait until last step to add pasta and stir to combine.

    Drain chicken, separate, and pat dry.

    Add poblanos (to taste) and 1 tsp. olive oil to provided tray.

    Microwave uncovered until poblanos are tender, 60-90 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Stir in pasta, chicken, corn, creme fraiche, 2 Tbsp. water, fiesta seasoning, chile and cumin rub, 1/4 tsp. salt, and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish). (Add pasta only if you received pre-cooked pasta. If you received raw pasta, please refer to Step 1.)

    Cover tray with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Stir to combine. If you received raw pasta, add to tray and stir to combine.

    To serve, top with crispy onions, hot sauce (to taste), and remaining cheese. Bon appétit!

    Oven Instructions

    If you received raw pasta, bring 8 cups water to a boil in a pot. Once boiling, cook until al dente, 8-13 minutes. Remove from burner. Drain pasta in a colander/strainer and set aside. Wait until last step to add pasta and stir to combine.

    Turn oven on to 375 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Make sure to use conventional oven setting, not convection. Drain chicken, separate, and pat dry.

    Add poblanos (to taste) and 1 tsp. olive oil to provided tray. Place tray on a baking sheet.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until poblanos are tender, 8-10 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Stir in pasta, chicken, corn, creme fraiche, 2 Tbsp. water, fiesta seasoning, chile and cumin rub, 1/4 tsp. salt, and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish). (Add pasta only if you received pre-cooked pasta. If you received raw pasta, please refer to Step 1.) Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Cover with foil. Place tray on a baking sheet.

    Bake again covered in hot oven until heated through, 8-10 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Uncover and stir to combine. If you received raw pasta, add to tray and stir to combine.

    To serve, top with crispy onions, hot sauce (to taste), and remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
