Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Prepare The Ingredients

    Cut potatoes into steak fry size

    Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.

    Roast The Potatoes

    Massage 2 tsp olive oil, seasoning blend, and a pinch of salt and pepper into potatoes. Spread into a single layer and roast in hot oven, 20 minutes. Carefully, flip wedges. Roast until golden brown and tender, 18-20 minutes.

    Make The Burgers

    Add beef, 1/4 tsp salt and a pinch of pepper to a medium bowl until completely combined. Form into 2 evenly sized patties.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add patties to hot pan. Cook until lightly charred and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

    Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean.

    Cook The Onions

    Place onion in a microwave-safe bowl and cover. Microwave until softened, 4-5 minutes. In the same pan over medium heat add 2 tsp olive oil. Add onions and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until caramelized, 5-7 minutes.

    Make The Sauce and Finish The Dish

    In a medium pot over medium heat. add bacon and cook 1 minute. Add milk and bring to a simmer. Stir in flour until completely combined and no lumps remain. Cook until slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in cheese and garlic salt until melted.

    If too dry, add warm water 1 Tbsp. at a time until desired consistency is reached.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, serving cheese sauce with burgers and ketchup with potatoes.. Bon appétit!
