Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, follow same instructions.

  1. 1

    Roast the Fries

Cut potatoes into 1/4" fries and pat dry.

Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, potato spice seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Spread into a single layer.

Roast in hot oven until browned and tender, 25-30 minutes, tossing once halfway through.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    While fries roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Chicken

In a mixing bowl, combine tempura mix, 1/4 cup water, and Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (use less if spice-averse). Stir until a thick batter forms, like a pancake batter. If too thick, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

Combine panko and sesame seeds on a plate and spread into an even layer.

Pat chicken dry. Cover chicken with plastic wrap and use a heavy object to pound to an even 1/4" thickness. Gallon bags make clean up easier and are made of thicker plastic. If you don’t have a disposable bag, use plastic wrap.

Place chicken in bowl with batter and flip until coated. Transfer chicken to plate with panko mixture and flip until coated on both sides, pressing gently to adhere.

  3. 3

    Air Fry the Chicken

Place chicken in air fryer basket in an even layer and generously spray with cooking spray.

Air fry at 380 degrees until panko is crisp and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 12-15 minutes, flipping and spraying with cooking spray again halfway through.

Alternatively, add 3 Tbsp. olive oil and chicken to a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add chicken to hot pan and cook undisturbed until browned, 2-3 minutes.

Lower heat to medium. Flip chicken, and cook until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 3-5 minutes.

Carefully remove basket from air fryer.

    While chicken cooks, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Toast the Buns

Place buns directly on oven rack, cut-sides up.

Toast in hot oven until slightly browned, 3-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    While buns toast, continue recipe.

  5. 5

Assemble Slaw, Make Sauce, and Finish Dish

    Finely chop slaw mix.

In another mixing bowl, combine slaw mix and dressing. Set aside.

In another mixing bowl, combine BBQ sauce and mayonnaise. Set aside.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with sauce, chicken, slaw, then top bun. Bon appétit!
