A note about serious food allergies

Let's bring out some new flavors for the burgers. This delight goes beyond the ketchup, mustard, lettuce, and tomato classic; it's a pork burger, with caramelized pineapple and peppery arugula on top, as well as the sweet amazingness that is teriyaki sauce. And we've got some earthy umami fries on the side. New flavors, new ideas, new burgers.

  1. 1

    Bake the Fries

Cut potatoes into 1/2"-thick fries. Pat dry.

Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil and a pinch of salt and pepper.

Spread into a single layer. Bake in hot oven until lightly browned, 30-35 minutes, carefully flipping fries halfway through.

Remove from oven. Transfer fries to a mixing bowl and toss or gently combine with half the umami seasoning (reserve remaining for patties). Fries will be hot! Use a utensil.

    While fries bake, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ingredients

Trim and thinly slice green onions.

In another mixing bowl, combine ground pork, green onions, ginger, 1/4 tsp. salt, a pinch of pepper, and remaining umami seasoning. Form into two evenly-sized patties, about 4" in diameter.

  3. 3

    Toast Buns and Cook Patties

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat.

Add buns to hot, dry pan, cut side down. Toast until golden brown, 1-2 minutes.

Transfer buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

Add patties to hot pan. Cook until lightly charred and patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-6 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner.

    While patties cook, continue recipe.

  4. 4

    Cook the Pineapple

Place another medium non-stick pan over medium heat.

Add pineapple to hot, dry pan. Cook until lightly caramelized, 1-2 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner.

  5. 5

    Finish the Dish

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with arugula, patty, pineapple, teriyaki glaze, and top bun. Bon appétit!
